Two Silvers for Chocolate by Miss Witt

Two Silvers for Chocolate by Miss Witt

New Forest-based artisan chocolatier Chocolate by Miss Witt has been given two Silver Awards by the Academy of Chocolate

The first Silver Award was for Explorer’s Gin Chocolates. These delicious chocolates are a clever collaboration between Chocolate by Miss Witt and Downton Distillery. The result is a smooth, pure-tasting water-based ganache flavoured with Explorer’s Gin with notes of juniper, lemon verbena and citrus. These melt in the mouth chocolates are worth discovering, and  a perfect grown-up alternative to an Easter Egg!

The second silver award went to Chocolate by Miss Witt’s Sea Salt Caramel Chocolates which have become a signature flavour, with a pink milk chocolate shell filled with silky caramel and a hint of Cornish sea salt.

The Academy of Chocolate campaigns for better chocolate and greater awareness between fine chocolate and mass-produced confectionery, while the Academy’s Awards attract entries from all across the globe including Canada, India, Taiwan and Madagascar.

Keith Hurdman, a master chocolatier and member of the Academy of Chocolate Awards committee commented: "Kerry [Witt] has now firmly established herself [as] one of the leading chocolatiers in the UK.

"That she is consistently a contender for the industry’s leading awards is a testament to her dedication to continuous improvement and her enthusiasm and affinity for teaching students of all ages allows her to successfully pass on her considerable knowledge and skills"
