Refresh Your Dry January

Refresh Your Dry January

A recent YouGov poll indicated that over 4 million people are embarking on Dry January. After weeks of over-indulgence the first few days can be relatively easy as the body craves a break from the booze. But as the month progresses it can be challenging to keep up the enthusiasm and fight the cravings.

One way to dampen the urge to deviate from good intentions is to make the soft drink options more enticing. Fortunately, Hampshire is home to some tasty alternatives to alcohol.

Hill Farm Juice has been squishing locally grown apples and pears since the seventies. Their award-winning juices include Cloudy Apple Juice, Apple with Damson and Sloe, Apple with Elderflower and Apple and Ginger. These juices are not only offer top flavour but they will boost your vitamin intake too. Drink as they are or try mixing with a Hampshire sparkling water if you are missing bubbles!

Tomato juice is packed with goodness including plenty of vitamin C. If you can resist adding a shot of vodka then it offers a delicious alcohol free option for January. Available from Turner Hardy & Co and The Tomato Stall.

It is also recommended that you keep your water levels up. Drinking plenty of water will keep you alert, give you more energy, stave off headaches and may even aid weightloss. Choose from local waters Hildon Mineral WaterNew Forest Spring Water and Southdowns Mineral Water
