Festival Dining Experiences
Make room for a month of feasting! From lunch at the fishmongers to seven-course fine dining tasting menus – the Hampshire Food Festival offers something for all tastes and budgets.
Hampshire ingredients will take centre stage at all events happening during festival month, 1-31 July. The new look restaurant, Wild Carrot, located within Four Seasons Hampshire will serve up a seasonal sensation on Thursday 5th July. Producers including Tunworth Cheese and Summerdown Mint will be there to shine a light on their products which feature in the meal.
Fish lovers can experience a fresh catch at the JS Fresh Fish pop-up restaurant in Shamrock Key. On the 30th June, 1st, 14th and 15th July, you can choose from their impressive fish counter, take it to the resident chef and watch it being cooked to your taste. Open to adults and children, 12pm-3pm, booking recommended.
Winning chefs will be donning their aprons during festival month. Great British Menu winner, James Durrant will be hosting a tempting Hampshire-themed dinner at No. 5 Bridge Street on Friday 13th July. MasterChef Champion, Jane Devonshire, will join forces with the team at The Chestnut Horse in Easton for a seven-course tasting menu raising money for Ark Cancer Charity on Thursday 5th July. Shelina Permalloo will take over The Myers Touch in Kings Worthy on Saturday 7th July for an interactive demonstration of her street food style tasting plates with an open Q&A session at the end of the evening.
At Forte Kitchen in Winchester, they are paying tribute to one of their most-served ingredients – King’s Somborne Eggs. They regularly serve up to 1000 of these locally produced eggs each week! Join them on Thursday 12th July at 7pm for a cracking night dedicated to all things deliciously eggy.
