Drinking in that View

Drinking in that View

The Mayfly, Fullerton, near Stockbridge, has been listed among the top 20 waterside pubs in the country in a round-up compiled by travel journalist Sarah Turner and evocatively entitled 'Drink in the View' in national newspaper The Guardian. The Mayfly is the only Hampshre venue to feature in the listing. Belonging to the Fuller's pub group, supporters of Hampshire Fare, The Mayfly sits on the bank of the River Test with a waterside garden and a dining terrace that appears to float above the Test’s clear waters.

The pub underwent a major refurbishment recently with the redesign featuring fly fishing memorabilia and riverside motifs. This is a popular destination pub due to its good menus featuring local produce, including ChalkStream Trout, Owtons Butchers bacon, burgers and steaks, Isle of Wight Tomatoes and Laverstoke Park Farm’s cheeses and ice creams, plus that beautiful location with stunning views which can be appreciated year-round.

The Mayfly is another example of how lucky we are here in Hampshire – you don’t need to travel far for a great view and a memorable experience.
