Winchester welcomes contemporary pop-up
The eclectic London store, Pitfield London has opened a pop-up in the centre of Winchester. Packed with unique homeware items and gifts the shop is a treasure trove of discovery.
The quirky shop and caf? also has a Hampshire Larder where customers can buy local artisan products including jams, chutneys, honey, juice, rapeseed oil and other local condiments. The new range of Hampshire Charcuterie made by a group of farmers from their own locally reared meat is also available to buy. All of the products all make perfect Christmas gifts if you can bear to part with them without eating them first!
The enticing caf? offers freshly made soups, salads and snacks as well as delicious homemade cakes. The menu includes a delicious Hampshire salt beef sandwich and the scones are served with scrumptious local jam and clotted cream. The caf? is open daily for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
The pop-up is a collaboration between Mark and Eleanor Dodd who own The Chesil Rectory in Winchester and the owner of Pitfield London, interior designer Shaun Clarkson.
Mark Dodd commented: 'We're delighted that our long-held ambition to create an exciting showcase for the best that the lifestyle store Pitfield has to offer has borne fruit. It offers local shoppers a great opportunity to get some Christmas shopping done early and then relax with a treat from a range of speciality teas, delicious soups, salads and cakes.'
The shop is located in The Brooks Shopping Centre in Winchester and is open seven days a week. It is only here for a few months so make sure you pop-in before it's gone!
Local larder suppliers include: Anna Valley Chillies, Becky's Beezzzs, Charlotte Brown, Hill Farm Juice, Hamphire Jam & Chutney Co, IOW Tomatoes, Naked Jam, Pratt's Oil, Sundowner and Yassin's Yassa.
