Wallops Wood Cottages Wins Visit England Award

Wallops Wood Cottages Wins Visit England Award

Wallops Wood Cottages located in the Meon Valley within the South Downs National Park, were presented with the Visit England Rose Award at the Independent Hotel Show in London on Tuesday 16th October.

The ROSE Awards, this year awarded to just 100 recipients across the country, put the spotlight on those accommodation providers across England who provide visitors with the warmest of welcomes. They recognise the owners, management and employees of establishments that go above and beyond, making customers’ experiences extra special, irrespective of star rating, style or accommodation type.Wallops Wood Cottages smaller.jpg

Visit England Director Patricia Yates said: "From self-catering holidays in National Parks to B&Bs in beautiful countryside and glamorous glamping, to boutique hotels to quintessentially English pubs with rooms, a range of outstanding accommodation providers right across the country are being recognised today.  It is the human touch that these people provide that make visitors’ experiences memorable, ensuring repeat business and helping the industry thrive.”

Owner of Wallops Wood Cottages, Andrew Graham commented on the achievement:  “We are beyond delighted to receive this award. Our staff is amazing and ensures the smooth running of our business. They excel at going above and beyond their job description in ensuring guests have a fantastic time with amazing facilities. From accessible accommodation to welcoming families, large groups and pets, we strive to make memorable memories for everyone that visits. This win is testament to their hard work. This award was a total surprise for us and we are very proud as a rural business, to showcase our beautiful Hampshire countryside. We would like to thank our amazing staff, our guests and all our friends."

The news of this success came just when the team at Wallops Wood was celebrating their win at the Rural Business Awards. They were the winners of the Best Rural Tourism Business category.

Wallops Wood has 8 self-catering cottages on site, which can cater for groups of all sizes, from families of 4 up to large groups of 54, as they can accommodate groups in several cottages. All cottages are dog friendly and have their own personal hot tub. Seven of the cottages are accessible and disabled friendly.
