Time For Tea

Looking for the perfect local cup of tea? Welcome to new Hampshire Fare member, New Forest Tea Company, brewing up greener premium blend cuppas.

After working in the tea and catering industry for 10 years, Ian and Kelly Tiffen began to develop their New Forest Tea Company brand during lockdown, launching the business in January 2021 with the aim to bring premium tea pyramids that ‘don't cost us the earth’ to the local area (and beyond).

Ian Tiffen explains: “All our tea pyramids are plastic free and compostable, and contain ethically sourced premium tea and infusions. We are one of the few tea pyramid suppliers who supply bags that are plastic free and compostable. We also offer a full range of loose leaf tea. In addition our packaging is also compostable and we offer a waste reduction refill service to all our wholesale and retail customers, allowing us to offer a truly environmentally friendly product.

“Our ethos of ‘Leave No Trace’ is very important to us and we continue to develop ideas that will reduce any environmental impact our business has.

“We appreciate that there are some areas where we can't compete with national and multinational suppliers, however we can offset this with a higher level of personal, individually focused customer service, offering flexibility tailored to each business. This year is a key year for our business as we are currently looking to install our in-house tea bag packing machine. This will allow us to offer bespoke blends. We are also looking at launching a ready-to-drink version of several of our teas."

Teas include Brockenhurst Breakfast, The Minty One, The Relaxing One and The Green One. Which is your cup of tea? Teas are available direct from New Forest Tea Company as well as selected teas being sold through a number of local retailers and hospitality venues such as: Big Blue Cafe/Court House Catering, Chilbolton Village Stores & Tea RoomJS Fresh Fish, New Forest Hamper Company, The Forest Foodie and The Gun Inn and more.
