The Eat Out to Help Out Experience
Hospitality owners are enjoying the massive take-up of the Government's Eat Out to Help Out scheme. Running Mondays to Wednesdays throughout August (until Monday 31st August inclusive), the scheme aims to support hospitality businesses by encouraging people to eat out at bistros, cafes, pubs and restaurants as they reopen post-lockdown. Participating businesses are offering a discount of up to £10 per person off food and non-alcoholic drinks.
The intention is to deliver a feel-good factor and rebuild consumer confidence while supporting local economies and the hospitality industry.
Lewis Rosario who runs The Four Horseshoes in Nursling has been delighted by the response. He explained that it had been very busy in the first week the scheme was launched, with a lot of walk-ins. However in the second week people realised that it was best to book first. The restaurant was fully booked on Monday, 10th August (allowing for social distancing) although, thanks to the good weather, there were plenty of tables in the gardens, so it was still possible to accommodate walk-ins.
If you are interested in tucking into this great offer while supporting local, we have compiled a list of our hospitality members who have registered for the scheme HERE. Please contact the venue directly for further details as availability and timings will vary from venue to venue. Book first (to avoid disappointment) and enjoy!
