September: What's in season?

Fruit:
September brings damsons, blackberries, pears, plums, elderberries, apples redcurrants, raspberries and quinces.
Vegetables:
Beetroot, artichoke, carrots, cucumber, globe artichoke, cabbage, aubergine, French beans, horseradish, runner beans, tomatoes, onions, marrow, radishes, garlic, sweet corn and courgettes.
Meat and fish:
Mussels, wild duck, pigeon, sea bass, scallops, venison, lamb, oyster, mackerel, grouse, grey mullet, and partridge.
