Record-breaking number of entries

This year's Great Hampshire Sausage and Pie Competition has received a record-breaking number of meaty entries from local butchers and producers eager to impress.

An impressive 46 butchers have entered 261 products across 12 categories. Entry forms have been received for the categories including Traditional Pork Sausage, Speciality Sausage, Hot-eating Pie, Cold-eating Pie, Black Pudding, Pork Pie, Charcuterie and Young Sausage Maker.

The entries will go infront of an expert panel of judges at Eastleigh College on the 14th and 15th February. The catering students at the college will be helping with the running of the competition. The winners will be announced at the awards evening on 1st March.

The event is organised by Hampshire Fare and sponsored by AHDB, Lucas Ingredients, Dalziel, Santa Maria, Rational and Mozzo. Learn more about the event's sponsors and why they are proud to support this year's competition.
