Pop-up shop specialists need your support
Trade member of Hampshire Fare, Space Qube plans to bring vitality to our ailing high streets with the UK's first dedicated retail spaces for pop-up activity. Read the information below to find out more about their work and vision for a pop-up future which will support local retailers.
Recognising the increasing popularity of short term retail space and the demand from shoppers for more exciting and interesting shopping experiences, Space Qube is currently crowdfunding with Seedrs to raise £110,000 to set up the UK's first dedicated retail space for pop-up activity. The premium shopping location will be leased on a full-term contract and then sub-let on a short term basis to a variety of retailers throughout the year.
What is Space Qube?
Space Qube is the brainchild of Alison John. A talented interior designer by trade, Alison believes that Britain's high streets can be revived by bringing theatre, quality and variety back into retail. With the plan to set up six dedicated spaces by the end of 2016, Space Qube is aimed at a variety of retailers who want to lease premium high street space on a short term basis without the hassle of negotiating rents, rates and jumping through legal hoops to set up spaces of their own. Space Qube will also provide them with the opportunity to achieve nationwide presence by 'popping up' in a variety of locations across the UK either simultaneously or via a roadshow.
Happier shoppers
For shoppers, this will bring more variety and more engaging shopping experiences to their high street. The schedule of appearances might include online brands who want to test their product on the high street, new brands who want to trial specific shopping locations and marketing agencies wanting to create an experiential campaign for a new product launch or seasonal promotion.
Benefits for towns and landlords
This new model of pop-up retail will also provide benefits to landlords. Space Qube will showcase high quality retailers and deliver an engaging and theatrical retail experience for customers. This formula will help to attract footfall and by using its unique store-fitting system and talented design team, Space Qube can tailor the look of the space to suit the tenant's objectives and transform a unit overnight to keep trading downtime to a minimum.
