Pop-up local produce shop is proving to be a winner!
Pop-up shop specialists, Space Qube, have been working closely with Hampshire Fare over the past few months to plan a pop-up shop at The Treehouse located at Whiteley Shopping Centre.
This week the result of their hard work can been seen. They have created a smart and unique shopping paradise for supporters of local produce.
The shop opened its doors to the public on Tuesday 2 July. Within a few hours many product lines had sold out as customers poured in to see, taste and buy local produce. Local producers involved in the shop have been busy baking and making through the night to replenish the shelves in time for the next day's business.
The shop has been expertly designed by the team at Space Qube to really showcase the stock. Customers have been enjoying the experience so much they have been asking staff to find a way to keep the shop open longer than the six day pop-up period.
Tracy Nash, Commercial Manager of Hampshire Fare commented on the success of the shop: 'It has been such a pleasure working with the team at Space Qube, with their vision and expertise we have been able to give our local producers and opportunity they really value.
'The pop-up shop is giving producers a chance to meet customers and talk about their products. It is wonderful to see so many members of the public engaging with the idea and our producers when visiting the shop. The shop is only open until Sunday so I urge anyone who hasn't been yet to find time to pop-in and support local!'
Jim Hayward, Executive Chef at Ideal Collection, and his team are also supporting the project and can be found on the roof of The Treehouse cooking up delicious dishes using local ingredients.
