New Year New Chapter for Northbrook Arms
As 2024 gets underway, The Northbrook Arms, a popular country inn in East Stratton - a village eight miles north of Winchester - is excited to announce a fresh chapter with a dynamic new management team at the helm.
Owners Kate and Adam Shanley, who acquired the site in April 2019, have dedicated the past three months to ongoing improvements, solidifying its reputation as a multifaceted destination. The completion of a three-year renovation project in autumn last year has seen the addition of four self-catering accommodation units, enhancing the pub's offerings alongside its bar, new restaurant and function room.
Reflecting on the journey, Kate shares, "The Northbrook Arms has been a labour of love for us. We're proud of the transformations and enhancements we've made, particularly through the challenging trading conditions of the last few years, setting the stage for an exciting future for the pub."
Now, with the first two phases of building works completed, Kate and Adam are thrilled to introduce the new leadership team ready to guide The Northbrook Arms forward. Colin Savory, an accomplished Head Chef with extensive experience in the pub sector, brings his culinary expertise to elevate the dining experience. Alex Abrey, previously operating London-based pubs, assumes the role of General Manager, ready to lead The Northbrook Arms to new heights. They join Lisa Knight, Head of Housekeeping, who’s been ensuring the self-catering accommodation maintains the highest standards since 2021.
