New ITV 'BBQ Champ' Show Filmed at Stansted Park Farm Shop

A new five part ITV series chose Stansted Park Farm Shop on the Hampshire/West Sussex border as the setting for the first episode.

The show involves a team of eight contenders competing against each other to become the first BBQ champ. The show is hosted by Myleene Klass and features Man vs Food star Adam Richman and British Chef and restauranteur Mark Blatchford as judges.

The contestants are given a choice of meat from the Stansted Park Estate and a selection of seasonal and local fruit and vegetables. They have 2 ½ hours to create a dish to impress the judges and also feed the team at Stansted Park Farm Shop. The catering equipment for the show was supplied by another Hampshire Fare member, Choices Hire.

Fred Duncannon, co-owner of Stansted Park Farm Shop was delighted to be involved in the making of the new series, “It was amazing to not only host the wonderful judges and contestants of 'BBQ Champ' but to also see them cook with the finest meat and produce that was reared on the Stansted Estate. It was a great endorsement for outstanding South Downs produce.”

Tune in to ITV on Friday 31st July at 9pm.
