New Colour In Characters Launched!

Hampshire Fare has launched a series of characters to colour in following the successful response to the ‘stay loyal stay local’ campaign - launched recently with the support of Hampshire County Council and Enterprise M3.

Tracy Nash, Commercial Manager, Hampshire Fare, says: “We have been overwhelmed by the response to our ‘stay loyal stay local’ campaign with retailers taking pictures of their window stickers, positive comments from our members across social media, and consumers getting in touch to let us know about the outstanding service they’ve received from their local independents during ‘lockdown’.

“As our campaign features designs based on the people behind our local food and drink businesses, we have decided to develop the campaign and introduced fun, natty characters
for kids (of all ages) to colour in.”

They include beekeeper, chef, farmer and shop owner, among others. They will be released in sets of three – one set each week over a period of four weeks from 13th July when they can be downloaded from the website. The first set will include Baker, Butcher and Farmer. 

HSC3 (Hampshire County Council Catering Services), who have been supporting local schools operating throughout ‘lockdown’, are backing this initiative.

Tracy Nash adds: “It is a great way for children to learn about local produce and their local area this summer. We hope these fun characters will provoke lots of discussion in homes and classrooms and suggestions about what to draw in each person’s hands – for example items they grow, catch or make, and the tools they use. We are urging everyone to get creative! Use colouring pencils, paints or collage. It’s a fun way of celebrating our local food and drink businesses, which are full of colourful characters and big personalities who are totally passionate about what they do, whether that is making cheese, pies, or jam, running a shop or a café, cooking, fishing or farming.

There will be character car stickers for the ones that really capture the theme well! So get colouring!”
