Let's get Hampshire noticed in the BBC Food and Farming Awards
The BBC Food and Farming Awards are now open for nominations and we are determined to get Hampshire people voting for some of the many inspirational people involved in our county’s food and farming.
The awards and the awareness they bring to the winners can really change the fortunes of the hardworking people behind our food and farming. It only takes a moment to nominate an individual or organisation in one of the nine categories.
Categories include: Best Food Producer, Best Drinks Producer, BBC Future Food Award, Countryfile Young Farmer Award, Best Food Retailer, You and Yours Best Takeaway or Street Food, The One Show Cook of the Year Award, The BBC World Service Food Chain Programme Global Champion Award and Derek Cooper Outstanding Achievement Award.
Hampshire is bursting with flavour with such a variety of produce reared and grown across the county. Take just a few moments to nominate in one or more of the categories. The awards close on 29th January so there isn’t much time.
Advice for completing your nomination form:
- Get to grips with the award criteria so you can be sure you're telling the judges exactly what they need to know
- Bring the person or business you are nominating to life with a story or description that paints a picture of them
- Competition is stiff so be sure to tell the judges why you think this person or business is truly outstanding
