Last chance to nominate for the Countryside Alliance Awards

Our local rural businesses, producers and community organisations need your nominations.

The Countryside Alliance Awards, nicknamed 'The Rural Oscars' celebrate the very best of rural produce and the community. They are run by the Countryside Alliance, the 100,000 strong membership organisation which campaigns for rural life.

The awards rely on public nomination and they want to know from you which local businesses deserve recognition. There are four categories and you can nominate as many times as you like across as many categories as you please.

Local Food Award

Village Shop/ Post Office Award

Butcher Award

Start-up Award (for businesses trading for two years or less)

The deadline is the 1st November. You can nominate online or download a nomination form from the website link below.

So if you rely on your local butcher for quality meat or you know a talented local food hero who deserves some recognition please nominate them now, right now!

Last year, Hampshire Fare members Parsonage Farm (pictured), Lyburn Farm and Isle of Wight Biltong made it to the regional finals of the awards.
