Hursley Hotel Keeps on Winning
It’s an award that many in the hospitality industry chase, and a Hampshire Hotel has just been awarded with it.
The King's Head has just been awarded its first ever AA Rosette for culinary excellence, along with sealing 4 AA silver stars for their Inn accommodation.
Only ten per cent of hotels and restaurants nationwide receive an AA rosette and the Hursley Inn joins an elite group of Hampshire pubs and restaurants with the award.
Landlords Mark and Penny Thornhill took command of the Georgian Coaching Inn in February 2015 and told us the AA Rosette capped off an excellent year.
“We achieved such a lot since taking over the pub
“We’ve won the Eat Out Magazine's Team of the Year and are finalists for The Casual Dining Restaurant and Pub Awards for Social Responsibility
But what is key to Mark and Penny’s successes as landlords?
Mark explains that you must have all the ingredients to make a cake, we look for 5 key areas, chef location, ambience, consistency and continuity, and without these key ingredients we don’t have a cake or in our case a great pub.
We are perfectionists and will continue to make The King’s Head a great place, its already well received by its locals and we will continue to grow and encourage more great guests to come and see us all in Hursley.”
