Fit2cook food education runs hands-on cooking workshops for primary schools in Hampshire. Many of these link into the curriculum and many feature local Hampshire produce. Past topics have looked at one of Hampshire's most famous ingredients watercress with a visit to watercress farm as part of the experience for local schools. Fit2Cook have looked at our 'countryside' and made simple recipes featuring local soft fruit, cheeses and apples. They have also featured local Winchester City Mill flour in baking workshops. Fit2cook also works with secondary schools running The Create and Cook Competition, where young cooks design and cook a 2 course menu with local ingredients, this competition is sponsored by The Southern Co-operative.
