Community Spirit!
At Hampshire Fare we are proud of our producers who are responding to community needs with innovative solutions.
For example, Conker Spirit, craft gin distillery, have produced a Conker Community Spirit Hand Sanitiser in response to the current shortage. Made from waste 'heads' from gin production, Conker has now applied for licenses with HMRC to manufacture denatured alcohol. This will allow them to distribute sanitiser to those who need it most: front line services and key workers, care homes and the elderly.
This is a no-profit initiative and Conker Spirit report that they have been inundated with calls from GP practices, the police, care workers etc, all desperately needing hand sanitiser. As a result Conker Spirit are ramping up to full scale production. Well done!
