Christmas in the Mix
Christmas drinks suggestions from Yarty (and some of them aren’t boozy)
Often those of us not drinking (maybe we’re driving, maybe we’re just trying to be a bit sensible) can feel we’re missing out at Christmas when the festive fizz is popped and the mulled wine is poured.
But Yarty’s lovely cordials can be mixed to create moreish non-alcoholic drinks. Try their Winter Warmer - Berries and Cherries with blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries and grapes with a touch of cinnamon and nutmeg. Warm it through for a non-alcholic mulled juice drink or mix it with apple juice.
Another delicious non-alcoholic drink is Yarty’s Lime and Chilli which is great over crushed ice and topped with sparkling water. Or try Raspberry and Elderflower with soda.
If you’re looking for an alcoholic cocktail with a twist then try Yarty’s Rhubarb and Ginger with a shot of gin and topped up with sparkling wine. David Mugridge of Yarty explains that this is John Torode's Recipe and warns that is very quick acting: “It had the Kaiser Chiefs and The One Show team legless at Carfest South!”
Otherwise the Lime and Chilli is also great with vodka or with dark rum, while Raspberry and Elderflower also works well with vodka, or try it as a vodka jelly as created by James Martin.
