Trout 'n' About

Stockbridge Annual Food & Craft Festival

Trout ‘n About is a thriving local food festival which takes place in the market town of Stockbridge on the first Sunday of August every year. With over 100 stalls showcasing the very best of local food, produce and crafts, it is a family friendly event attracting thousands of visitors from all around. The beautiful, historic high street of Stockbridge becomes a buzz with activity, with live music filling the air, Juggling Jake entertaining the children with his circus skills and the countryside coming to the high street in the form of farm animals, vintage agricultural equipment, craft demonstrations, face painting and the many stalls promoting and selling local fare.

Trout ‘n About commenced in 2008 and is set on the beautiful, historic High Street of the market town of Stockbridge. With the river Test flowing under the High Street their festival is named after one of the things the Test Valley is renowned for – Trout!

Trout ‘n About has four main objectives:

  • to raise the profile of Stockbridge and celebrate it’s market history
  • to raise money to support the local community
  • to promote regional quality food, produce, local crafts and provide a platform for local businesses
  • to provide an enjoyable event for the wider community and visitors

This event is free to attend and parking will be provided in fields at either end of the High Street, from which a FREE King Alfred’s bus shuttle service will run you to the centre of the action.

So why not come and show your support whilst having a great family day out!
