Have you ever wanted to have a go at making your own preserves but never known quite where or how to start, or do you simply want to improve the skills you already have?
Well in celebrating the Hampshire Food Festival this July, Hampshire Jam & Chutney Company are hosting several Jamming Sessions, where you will be able to learn all the skills and knowledge needed to attempt this in your own home.
Each session lasts between 3-4 hours and will only have 2-4 people in attendance, giving you that informal yet focused attention, helping you and like-minded people, learn how to make lovely jam, marmalade, chutney or jelly. They hold the classes in their own kitchens in the Winchester area and whenever possible they use seasonal Hampshire produce, direct from the grower, so it couldn't be fresher.
Pop along to a Jamming session and learn how to make a jam and a marmalade, or join their combined Jam and Chutney session, where you'll make both jam and chutney and you'll even get to take some of what you've made home.
Booking is essential. Jamming Sessions are priced at £40 per person or £70 for the combined Jam and Chutney Session.
There will be two sessions available each day 9:30am-12:30pm or 2:30pm-5:30pm. Sessions do book up quickly, so book now to avoid dissapointment!
