Watership Alpacas

Watership Alpacas, originally based near Watership Down, needed more land and now we are just west of Andover.

As members of the British Alpaca Society, our alpaca breeding program focuses on health and welfare and also improving fleece characteristics, including fineness, density and good structure.

Our land is managed to support the health of our alpacas and to support wildlife.  Permanent pasture is an important carbon retainer.

Our fibre is used to produce “slow” clothing. The alpacas are sheared once a year.  Fibre is processed, woven and sewn into ladies’ jackets , toddler coats and blankets in the UK.
