Candover Brook

The late Lord John Sainsbury began farming the family estate in Preston Candover forty years ago. In 2011, he and his sons, Mark and Julian, planted 5 hectares of vines and Candover Brook NV Brut and NV Rosé are the result of their labours. The chalk stream that runs through the valley is home to the rare English white-clawed crayfish; both are celebrated in the design of the wine’s label.  Not only have these first releases been celebrated by Matthew Jukes and Amy Wislocki but the Rosé was declared ‘Best British sparkling Rosé 2022’in the Decanter awards.
