Basingstoke College of Technology

Graded as Outstanding by Ofsted, BCoT’s Catering and Hospitality students are taught by industry experts in their modern training kitchens and get the chance to serve food in The Restaurant at BCoT, which is open to the public.

Their courses cover a wide range of related skills, from food production and cookery to drinks service and licencing and event management. They visit a range of hotels, which could include the Four Seasons, Hampshire Court, Apollo, Lainston House and Penny Hill Park, to see ‘behind the scenes’ in these prestigious organisations,and there is at least one trip abroad, such as to France to visit wine cellars and markets in Paris. Their catering students are contracted to provide civic hospitality for the Mayor of Basingstoke.

Many former students are building successful careers, including some as Head Chefs or Restaurant Owners.
