Producer Membership applies to farmers and businesses that produce food, drink and crafts from ingredients or raw materials grown or reared in Hampshire and in close proximity to the county boundary. Where a business makes a range of products and not all of them include Hampshire ingredients, it must be made clear in the business's own marketing where Hampshire produce is used.

membership criteria – farmers

  • Must farm within Hampshire or within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.
  • Livestock must have spent at least 50% of their life in Hampshire or within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.
  • The business itself must be based in Hampshire or within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.

membership criteria – food & drink producers

  • 30% of each product's ingredients must have been grown or reared in Hampshire or within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.
  • Where Hampshire ingredients are not used in all products, there must be a 'Hampshire range' adhering to the above criterion, with clear marketing to set it apart. In this case it is this range alone that will be eligible for Hampshire Fare membership benefits.
  • The business itself must be based in Hampshire or within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.

membership criteria – craft producers

  • Crafts must be produced from raw materials of Hampshire origin or from within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.
  • Where Hampshire materials are not used in all crafts, there must be a 'Hampshire range' adhering to the above criterion, with clear marketing to set it apart. In this case it is this range alone that will be eligible for Hampshire Fare membership benefits.
  • The business itself must be based in Hampshire or within 10 miles of the Hampshire county boundary.

4-10 employees £194 +VAT
11-15 employees £222 +VAT
16+ employeees £256 +VAT
Number of employees is based on those employed on a full time basis (including business owners/directors and contractors)
