Business South’s vision

Business South aim for the region to be recognised, both nationally and internationally, as a preferred location of choice for business, to attract and retain talent and to drive increased opportunities for investment and business.

We work strategically across the South-Central region to unite business to influence positive change, while retaining a focus locally on key sectors and projects. We aim to put businesses in the driving seat and to tell the story of a region that is the best place to do business, offers investment potential, innovation and growth.

What do Business South do?

Business South offers a platform for thought leaders to share knowledge as well as being well respected for our peer-level facilitated events. Business South supporters are known as Champions and by meeting with other Champions on a regular basis and working across the sectors, businesses can broaden their horizons

We showcase the employers who are investing in their community and promote the responsible business leaders. By doing so, they support the work of Business South in Championing the economy – and boost the number of jobs and opportunities.

Business South Champion Programme

Business South is bringing people and businesses together through our Champion Programme with a growing network of over 200 Business South Champions, partners and key stakeholders,

A recent Business South survey revealed 85% of Champions did business with other Champions or made valuable connections.

With its strength as an influential group of organisations, the Champion Programme has achieved a huge amount for the region. Together, the Champions have promoted the area, demonstrated the importance of their sectors, provided invaluable thought leadership, influenced policies and investment decisions and delivered on a range of projects.
