Award-winning chocolatier Kerry Witt, founder of Chocolate by Miss Witt, has notched up more international accolades for her delicious chocolate creations.

Kerry competed with 47 countries at the Academy of Chocolate Awards in London 2019 to secure a Bronze Award for her Passion Fruit Chocolate, which uses chocolate from Susanna Cárdenas, founder of House of Cárdenas Chocolate. She also received Highly Commended for her chocolate based on Bombay Sapphire's signature cocktail, The Laverstoke. This is a concoction of Bombay Sapphire gin (distilled at Laverstoke Mill), Martini, ginger ale and elderflower cordial, encased in chocolate from Swiss chocolate maker, Felchlin - a small family company making exceptional chocolate for professionals for over 100 years

Kerry’s delicious chocolates are often inspired by collaborations with the hospitality industry, local producers and carefully sourced chocolate makers.

Kerry Witt explains that it is all about the ingredients, including working with exceptional chocolate makers, such as House of Cárdenas, which uses hand-selected cacao beans grown by a small group of families in Manabi in Ecuador.

Kerry Witt says: “I have known Susanna Cardenas for a few years now and I know the care that goes into making her chocolate at every step, from finding rare cacao beans and working closely with the farmers to the final stage, turning the beans into chocolate.”

Another chocolate maker, Keith Hurdemen of Felchlin Chocolate, Switzerland adds, "Kerry has consistently proved herself to be one of the leading chocolatiers in the UK. Her many awards are testament to her excellent skills."
