South Downs Water Scoops Win

South Downs Water ended 2019 on a high after scooping Best Hospitality Industry Mineral Water Supplier - South England at Luxlife Magazine’s 2019 Food & Drink Awards, which honour outstanding enterprises, initiatives and businesses from across the world.

South Downs Water Managing Director Will Windsor said: “I am very proud that my team has been recognised for the hard work that they have put in throughout the year, particularly in the hospitality sector. The win comes at a time of growth and development at South Downs Water and marks the end of a fantastic year, with 2020 is set to be the busiest year yet.”

South Downs Water is bottled at source in Southbourne on the Hampshire/Sussex border. Filtered through layers of chalk deep within the South Downs, it is untouched at the source – an artesian well 420ft below ground – resulting in a delicious natural mineral water that is naturally high in calcium and low in sodium.

South Downs Water have also been doing their bit for the planet. Their green initiatives include a Greener Deliveries campaign to lower their carbon footprint, and from January 2020 South Downs Water’s 330ml and 500ml bottles will be made from 100 percent recycled plastic (rPET) in a bid to keep plastic in a circular system and out of the rivers, oceans and countryside. Spring 2020 will also see the launch of South Downs Water cans.

In addition, South Downs Water continues its relationship with Goodwood Estate as exclusive provider of natural mineral water for the second consecutive year, as well as enjoying a continuing partnership with The Exclusive Collection of hotels, Newbury Racecourse and Cowdray Estate. New partnerships included Portsmouth Football Club and the rapidly growing Giggling Squid and Real Greek chain of restaurants.

No wonder South Downs Water are raising a glass of sparkling water in anticipation of a successful 2020.
