Introducing Pop-up Pizza by the Lake
Voted the most romantic wedding venue in Hampshire, Rownhams House, a Georgian house in 12 acres of gardens and woodland with its own lake, is reinventing itself as a pop-up garden restaurant over the summer months.
Starting this Friday 10th July, Pizza by the Lake will be open every Friday and Saturday evening until the end of September.
The delightful outdoor setting is perfect for summertime al fresco dining and provides a safe environment for eating out and relaxing . Chilli Pepper Catering has put together a mouth-watering, Italian-inspired menu featuring pizzas handcrafted from homemade dough prepared in the outdoor kitchen and cooked in a traditional wood-fired pizza, plus salads and sharing platters. Bar drinks can be purchased from Hetty the vintage Citroen van.
Every consideration has been taken to ensure guests’ comfort and safety so people can eat and relax with confidence. Booking is easy. Purchase your meal in advance via Ticket Tailor where you can view the menu and options for ordering. Following purchase, the team will then call you to check dietary requirements and agree dining time. Rownhams House are only taking bookings via this platform. This method helps to control numbers and deliver a safe and relaxed dining experience for all (guests are not accepted if they arrive without a booking).
Tables have an 80-minute window for food and drink service. After this time, guests are welcome to find a space in the garden to enjoy more drinks and deserts, ice creams and coffee.
There is a covered option if our English summer weather is unkind, otherwise tables and chairs will be placed out on the lawn giving everyone space to relax and enjoy the beautiful lakeside setting. Guests are invited to bring picnic blankets. The grounds will open at 5.00pm and close at 9.50pm and the bar will close at 9.30pm.
Altogether a lovely way to enjoy eating out again, as lockdown eases.
