Happy Returns to Lainston House
Phil Yeomans returns to Lainston House, the luxury country house hotel in Sparsholt, near Winchester, having previously held the position of head chef from 2005 to 2014.
Phil brings with him over two decades of experience in the hospitality industry having worked at The Dorchester, Harvey Nichols and Soho House, as well as further afield at The Fearrington Inn in North Carolina, USA, and the prestigious Coral Beach Club in Bermuda, where he was Head Chef.
Phil says: “Winchester is my home and I’m delighted to return to my roots with my family, in a position that will be an exciting new challenge for me. Lainston House has an excellent reputation and I’m looking forward to building on this and helping the team to grow.”
Phil shares Lainston House’s ethos for working with local suppliers and food producers and this will influence how menus are developed over the coming months. Phil’s style of cooking is modern British, combining his classical training with the employment of modern techniques, resulting in the creation of flavourful yet clean and delicate dishes.
