Ginspired by the River Test

Has the River Test Distillery launched another winning gin? The latest, Chalkstream Gold, is distilled with Maris Otter barley grown in the fields bordering the distillery which is located on the banks of the River Test. Bay and Rosemary add complexity to this bright and botanical blend.

Chalkstream Gold joins River Test Distillery's original London Dry Gin, infused with handpicked meadowsweet flowers, which was named Best London Dry Gin in England in the World Gin Awards last year. Both gins are exceptionally smooth, distilled in small batches and crafted using pure
chalk-filtered water - exhibiting what founder Sarah Nelson describes as "true river spirit". They are both a 'ginuine' reflection of Hampshire's landscape. They are also both receiving international recognition; the latest were award wins at San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021.

Sarah Nelson comments: "This is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world with over 3,800 entries this year, so we’re very pleased with River Test London Dry winning a Gold medal and Chalkstream winning Silver."

For a refreshing G&T, Sarah suggests serving Chalkstream Gold with Indian tonic, a slice of pink grapefruit and lots of ice, while she prefers to serve River Test Distillery's London Dry Gin with a slice of lime, Indian tonic and ice.
