Food For Good
City Catering Southampton is the UK's first charitable catering company, operating as a charity for over 25 years, providing nutritious meals to vulnerable local residents, both young and old. The charity is built around feeding the city and supporting its families and communities, supplemented by profits from their corporate catering business. Unfortunately, many of City Catering's income streams have disappeared overnight. In addition the charity is facing additional costs associated with provision and delivery at this time.
City Catering is continuing to provide meals to the children of key-workers who remain in school, so that their parents can do the hard work of serving others during these uncertain times. They are also providing meals to those eligible for Free School Meals, where requested and needed, as well as responding to requests for care meals to the elderly and vulnerable who remain safely, but isolated, in their homes.
The charity is aware that these times are hard for many, but they would appreciate donations which can be made via their just giving page to support their efforts in providing meals for children, teachers, the vulnerable and the elderly.
