Hampshire Fare member Boxwise Packaging Solutions are a Southampton-based manufacturer specialising in producing bespoke and stock cardboard boxes used across a wide range of industries. Boxwise’s own ‘Jack in the Box’, Jack Ptolomey, explains that the company has come a long way since joining Hampshire Fare, with a number of exciting projects and interesting developments. (“Well, as interesting as a cardboard box can be!” Jack adds.)
These developments have included Boxwise recently expanding their capabilities with a new machine for the production of die-cut boxes and bespoke inserts that both protect and display contents. This allows more creative thinking inside and outside the box, and Boxwise recently worked with BBC Apprentice 2022 Winner Harpreet Kaur to produce boxes which really helped to deliver the wow factor of her Oh So Yum products! Boxwise’s creative solutions also helped another client, Winchester-based Louis & Co, to protect and present their luxury candles perfectly.
Another new development has been the launch of temperature controlled packaging – which can be made to fit within bespoke boxes – ensuring edible products arrive at the ideal temperature and in perfect condition. Boxwise can also produce bespoke sized boxes in Correx (a cross between cardboard and plastic). This product offers customers a 'Closed Loop' packaging option allowing boxes to be collected after delivery and reused a substantial number of times as they’re not damaged by tape and water.
