Double Celebration Agreed For 2021

Hampshire Fare has announced that the 20th Hampshire Food Festival will be celebrated next July 2021 along with Hampshire Fare’s 30th anniversary.

Tracy Nash, Commercial Manager, Hampshire Fare, made the announcement: “Every 1st July marks the first day of Hampshire Fare’s award-winning Hampshire Food Festival. This year would also have been the 20th anniversary of what is considered to be the most ambitious food festival in the country in terms of scale and reach – a month-long and countywide celebration of food and drink that encompasses a wide variety of activities, events and menus.

“We were very excited about this significant milestone for the festival. However, the need to keep the public safe takes priority. Aware of the need to support our local food and drink producers, retailers and hospitality venues, we did consider holding a virtual celebration, but we concluded that our members and many followers would prefer the razzmatazz of an actual festival! And so would we!

“Food and drink is one of life’s greatest pleasures, and Hampshire Fare’s Hampshire Food Festival is all about trying, tasting and socialising in a relaxed carnival atmosphere – not something that can be replicated online.

“In addition, next year is the big one – in 2021 Hampshire Fare will be celebrating 30 years’ supporting and championing local and sustainable! What could be better than a double celebration, combining the two into one massive bonanza celebratory year?

“You are all invited to join us, next summer, for the most fantastic Hampshire Food Festival ever. We will be rolling out a programme of fairs, fetes, picnics, parties and pop-ups, farm and vineyard tours, cocktail and cookery skills workshops, street food and world-class chef demos, and more. Wait until you see what we’ve got lined up for you in 2021. It will be a summer festival to remember!

“We hope everyone will welcome the opportunity to experience and celebrate properly the 20th anniversary of this award-winning food festival. It provides an opportunity for producers, hospitality businesses and local independents to engage with the public. It also provides a unique way for everyone to enjoy and appreciate Hampshire’s heritage and culture which is so interwoven with its landscape and its food – from strawberries to watercress, and trout to sparkling wine.

“We suggest that those interested in next year’s very special double celebration subscribe to our newsletter (HERE) to be kept informed about everything that we will be organising. This is also a call out to local food producers, independent retailers and hospitality venues – you do not need to be a member of Hampshire Fare to participate in the Hampshire Food Festival!  You are welcome to get in contact and come on board.”
