Great Solent Seafood cookery workshop

Working in collaboration with Lemon & Soul Cookery School, Hampshire & Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust bring you the Great Solent Seafood cookery workshop.

Learn the skills necessary to prepare one of the Solent's delicious white fish and get inspiration for a dish using local crab.

In this three hour long interactive workshop Chef Katarina will demonstrate the preparation of a white fish dish, either using sole or plaice. You will then prepare your own white fish dish to cook and eat in the class. An accompanying side dish will be provided to go with your fish dish. You will also get the chance to learn how to prepare a crab that you can take home to eat later.

Through this workshop we want to encourage people and give them the confidence to cook a variety of Great Solent Seafood at home.

The Great Solent Seafood campaign is raising awareness of the Solent's fishing industry and seasonal, sustainably-caught local seafood. For more information, please click here.

This event forms part of Secrets of the Solent, an exciting four-year marine project supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project is celebrating the amazing wildlife and people that share the Solent's coast and waters, through art, cuisine, citizen science, and more.
