The Great British Food Awards

The Great British Food Awards

Held by Great British Food magazine, The Great British Food Farm Produce Awards are intended to provide a platform for our skilled, passionate, unsung artisans, and they’re completely free to enter.
The 14 award categories include: Mature Cheddar; Traditional Pork Sausage; Ribeye Steak; Traditional Pork Pie, Best Bitter (Bottled); Sweet Fruit Jam & Conserves; Artisan Loaf, Cake, Cooking Oil and Smoked Fish.
Products will be blind-tasted with marks for quality of ingredients, flavour, appearance, presentation, provenance and traceability of ingredients – entrants will be asked to write a few words (up to 200) about the company's sourcing policy for judges to read alongside the tasting.
The closing date is 13 June. Entry forms can be filled in online at www.greatbritishfoodmagazine.com/producerawards. Otherwise contact the Hampshire Fare office for a form as an email attachment (info@hampshirefare.co.uk).  Two samples of each entry will also be required. Send to Natasha Lovell-Smith, Great British Food Farm Produce Awards, Aceville Publications, 25 Phoenix Court, Hawkins Road, Colchester, Essex CO2 8JY, by 26 June latest. Fresh produce will need to arrive as close to the judging date as possible.
Good luck to all those interested.
