Lambing Live raises a record-breaking sum of £1,800 for The Oakhaven Hospice Trust!

Over 1200 visitors descended on Aubrey Farm, Keyhaven on Saturday 1st April for the popular Lambing Live event.  Now in its 4th year and organised by the Morgan family who run the farm and own the Pop Up Farm Shop Lisa’s Larder.

“The stars of the show were definitely the lambs and although there were no live births this year, everyone enjoyed seeing the flock and there was a lot of cuddling with the bottle fed lambs. We had a team of expert helpers on hand to speak about the Zwartbles breed, farming in general and sheep farming in particular.” Enthused Lisa Morgan.

“We had archery supplied by Outright Adventure available all day, farrier Billy Scott demonstrating the art of making horse shoes and the combine harvester parked in the farm yard gave visitors a sense of the vast scale of modern agricultural machinery. In addition there were plentiful Easter craft activities and information from the New Forest National Park Rangers who brought along their mobile unit.”

“Over 200 ice creams were sold along with 220 Hot Dogs and 100 burgers. It was definitely one of those ‘golden days’ when everything falls into place and the significant amount of money raised for Oakhaven Hospice, just over £1,800 is the icing on the cake!” Concludes Lisa.

Lisa’s Larder next open dates are 14th & 15th April (orders for Easter are now being taken online.
