Exton Park Vineyard calls half time

Exton Park Vineyard certainly believes in doing things by halves.  Half bottles, that is.

The 55 acre single-estate vineyard on the prized chalk slopes of Hampshire’s South Downs, has launched its award-winning Brut Reserve and Blanc de Noirs NV in 37.5cl bottles – perfect for a patriotic Christmas aperitif for two, or a welcome stocking filler.

One of the very few English sparkling wine producers to sell this smaller size, Exton Park is releasing its crisp, refreshing Brut Reserve with an rrp of £17.50 and the rounded, fruitier Blanc de Noirs at £18.95. Both wines have been blended from the winery’s unique library of wines from different plots and different years – all carefully nurtured until needed.

‘As consumers make drinking sparkling wine a regular habit, we believe there is a growing demand for English wines in a more convenient smaller size as well’ explains Head Winemaker Corinne Seely. ‘Which is why we planned well ahead with the bottling.  And I was delighted to find that all the freshness and vibrant fruit that is so typical of the Exton Park terroir style remained unchanged when the halves were disgorged in the autumn.’

This new 37.5cl size will offer consumers the opportunity to enjoy a couple of glasses of a prize-winning ‘new wave’ English sparkler without breaking the bank. Half the size – twice the pleasure.
