Celebrate with Antonio Carluccio this Saturday at the Leckford Estate

You are invited to join chef and food writer, Antonio Carluccio at the Leckford Estate near Stockbridge this Saturday in celebration of the array of local produce available in Hampshire.

The Food Fayre will mark the final weekend of the Hampshire Food Festival whilst giving a taste of what is to come at the Leckford Estate. The thirty producers involved in the fayre will soon be a permanent feature on the estate when the new farm shop opens to the public on Thursday 8 August at 9am.

Come along on Saturday to sample and buy local produce, chat to Carluccio about his passion for Hampshire food and drink and take in the stunning surroundings whilst enjoying a beer and some live music. There will also be an opportunity to see the nursery, park and arboretum. The Waitrose Flower Gardens are being designed in association with Alan Titchmarsh and are in the early planning stages but will be open for viewing.

Andrew Lazenby, Commercial Manager of the Leckford Estate and Vice Chair of county food group Hampshire Fare looks forward to welcoming people to Saturday's Food Fayre: 'For me the new farm shop opening next week is an opportunity to combine two passions in my life; Leckford food and farming with local food and drink and their producers. Saturday's pre-launch event will be a fantastic close to the Hampshire Food Festival and will give a flavour of what we will soon be offering from the farm shop. The shop has been created to champion and promote great quality food that's been locally produced. I really look forward to welcoming people to the estate on Saturday and giving them the chance to meet many of the local producers involved in the new shop.'

Saturday's event is free and will take place from 10am-4pm at Longstock Park Nursery, Stockbridge, S020 6EH. The farm shop will open to the public on Thursday 8 August, the opening hours will be 9am-6pm Monday - Saturday and 10am-4pm on Sundays.
