Bursledon Windmill

Bursledon Windmill is Hampshire's only working windmill. Built in 1814, it has been restored and reopened as a working windmill and heritage visitor attraction.

Guided tours leave every half an hour and you can watch two films - a documentary explaining how the machinery of the mill works and an animation showing the potential perils of running a windmill! You can also try grinding flour by hand in the barn using the ancient saddle quern or the medieval rotary quern.

Note: following recent restoration work, the mill is not currently selling flour. Keep an eye on the webpage for updates.
